Helen Adams Keller (June 27, 1880 – June 1, 1968) was an american author,political activist and lecturer.She was the first deafblind person to earn a bachelor of arts degree.The story of how keller's teacher,annie sullivan,broke through the isolation imposed by a near complete lack of language,allowing the girl to blossom as she learned to communicate,has became known worldwide through the dramatic depictions of the play and film "the miracle worker".Helen Keller was not born blind and deaf; it was not until she was nineteen months old that she contracted an illness described by doctors as "an acute congestion of the stomach and the brain".By this disease helen lost her eyes and ears.
After this,she behave like a arrogant,she broke all the things without any reason.Then, her parents take her perkins school for blind situated at south boston.In that school 20 year old teacher named anne sullivan worked as keller's instructor.Anne sullivan arrived at keeler's house in march 1887,and immediately began to teach helan to communicate by speling words into her hand,beginning with d-o-l-l for the doll that she had brought keller as a present.It was the beginning of a 49-year-long relationship between them.
At the age of 20,keller move to higher education with his beloved teacher to "radcliffe college".In 1904,at the age of 24,keller graduated from radcliffe,becoming the first deaf blind person to earn a "bachelor of arts degree".
With the help his teacher and anne's husband,she campaign for blind welfare and became worls-famous speaker and author.she wrote 7 book of his own.Alexander graham bell and charlie chaplin are the celebrities friends of keller.
keller suffered a series of strokes in 1961.In 1968,june 1,shw died in her sleep.
she is the one of the great's in 20th century.
